YANKTON, SD -- A judge has agreed to add $2500 to the already $2500 private investigator budget granted to Nicholas Hines. Judge Glen Eng agreed to the increase in funds to help Hines defend himself against a murder charge, but did request a report outlining the costs charged by the private investigator. Hines is accused of killing Brianna Knoll and then shooting himself. He is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity.
