Media Group Bans Private Investigators

ENGLAND -- Sly Bailey, the chief executive of Trinity Mirror media, has stated that private investigators will not be allowed to work with staff at any of the newspapers owned by Trinity Mirror. The move likely comes after private investigator Glenn Mulcaire and other investigators have been accused of using illegal means to dig up personal information for UK tabloids. Bailey outlined the measures that her media group has in place to control risks. In addition to the no private investigator policy, the group also has a “whistleblowers’ charter”.
