Danny R. Smith, founder and chief investigator of DRS Investigations, is a former L.A. Sheriff's Homicide detective with more than 21 years law enforcement experience. Danny has investigated several hundred cases of homicide, suicide, accidental and recreational death, industrial death and officer-involved shootings. Prior to his promotion to homicide, Danny was assigned to Special Investigations Bureau, Metro Detail, where he worked the fugitive detail and investigated cases of life-threatening extortion, pattern and series robberies, kidnap for ransom, threats against public officials and more.
Danny retired in 2004 departing law enforcement with scores of accolades and commendations including the Medal of Distinguished Service.
