Tips from a PI to Help You Spot a Liar |
TINLEY PARK, IL - This past week, the SouthtownStar ran an interesting article about liars. PI Keith McRae, the author of the article, spoke to PIs and drew on his own experiences to help readers understand how to determine whether someone is lying. According to the PI, the top signs of lying include cues such as repeating the question, not making eye contact, hesitation or long pauses, nervous movements or gestures, crossing legs and arms, rapid speech and speaking in the third person. |

Holloway Case Closed, Family Hires PIs |
NETHERLANDS - This past year, the PInow.com staff has noticed that many missing persons cases are being handed to PIs. The latest case to make use of PIs is the case of Natalee Holloway, who went missing on an Aruba trip. The Aruban public prosecution department closed the case this past week due to lack of evidence with the Dutch student Joran van der Sloot. Holloway’s father has hired PIs to pursue the case. |

PIs Look Into St. Maarten Airport Thefts |
ST. MAARTEN - St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport has been struggling with a theft problem. Recently, jewelry and computer parts have been stolen from the cargo section of the airport. Private investigators are investigating the recent crimes, as are local authorities. The probe spotlights security at the PJIA. Some think that the thefts may be an inside job. |

Construction Site Theft Solved With Technology |
MADISON, WI - Madison police have arrested three people for stealing building materials from a construction site, and investigators are crediting technology for helping them crack the case. The construction company Veridian hired PIs after aluminum repeatedly was stolen from its construction site. Private Investigators placed a tracking device among five boxes of aluminum siding at a Veridian construction site. When thieves stole the boxes, they were easy to trace. PIs with Attoe-Watson & Co. Inc were on the case and were able to track the stolen goods. |

PI Drops Lawsuit Against Pesci |
LOS ANGELES, CA - PI John Perry dropped a lawsuit against Joe Pesci, which alleged that the actor owed Perry $103,000 for services Perry performed. Originally, Perry claimed that Pesci hired him after the actor’s ex-wife was accused of hiring a hit man. The fee dispute led to a fraud and breach-of-contract lawsuit. There is no word as to why the PI has dropped the suit. |
