PhoneNews.com Accuses AT&T of Hiring PIs for Snooping |
NEW YORK, NY – PhoneNews.com has alleged that it has received anonymous tips claiming that AT&T has hired PIs to gather information about MechaWorks and PhoneNews.com. PhoneNews.com has stated that its attempts to have AT&T investigated by the FCC and the California Public Utilities Commission about an alleged violation of a Terms of Service issue may be behind the new surveillance. |

Clarksville Continues Traffic Camera Debate |
CLARKSVILLE, TN – Recently, a motion was filed alleging that traffic cameras in the city, operated by Redflex Traffic Systems Inc., violated state PI laws. Now, attorney Lance Baker has filed a response on behalf of the city. Baker notes that even if Redflex violates PI laws – which require that licensed PIs can gather evidence for court purposes – evidence gathered by the traffic cameras should not automatically be deemed inadmissible. |

PI Thinks Online Buyer May Have Found Large Syndicate of Cons |
LONDON, ENGLAND – François Eales has made many online purchases with no problem, but when he recently tried to buy a Sony Vaio laptop he found that the seller disappeared after collecting money for the purchase. While police are investigating, Eales hired a PI to track the seller. The PI Eales hired noted that while many online transactions are legitimate, Eales seller appears to be part of a larger syndicate of fraudsters, possibly involved in money laundering. |

Missing Persons Case Now a Year Old |
BOISE, ID – One year ago, Max-Gian disappeared with his mother. His father, Marco Alcalde, remains worried about his son, who would be eight years old now. Alcalde has worked with the FBI, local police and PIs to find his son. He believes, based on evidence gathered by investigators, that his son may be in Central America with his Mother. |

Security Professionals in Bars Need Additional Training |
MANITOBA, CANADA – An inquest into the death of man killed in a hotel lobby has recommended that security personnel working in bars and establishments which serve alcohol need more training, especially when it comes to correct ways to restrain patrons. The inquest found that while the Winnipeg man who died had a heart condition, the fact that he was “hog-tied” while being restrained may have contributed to his death. |
