Girlfriend Turns Tables on PI

LOS ANGELES, CA - Usually, it is the PI who does the spying, but notorious Hollywood PI Anthony Pellicano has had the tables turned on him. Pellicano’s girlfriend allegedly spied on him in order to help the FBI and other federal authorities. Now that Pellicano is facing charges of illegal wiretapping, he hopes to use the evidence to have the charges dismissed. He argues that the government violated his rights by having his girlfriend spy on him.

    PI Searches For Missing Man Gone For Seven Years

    KANSAS CITY, MO - Luther Boyt was a Kansas City antique collector who went missing in November 2000. His body never was found, and friends and family insist that the man simply would not have disappeared. PI Jeff Wishard has been hired to find the man and he has found a number of leads. The PI also believes that Kansas City police have not been adequately following up on the lead.

    Did Prince Hire PIs to Fight Pirate Bay?

    Pirate Bay administrators believe that songster Prince hired PIs to track company employees. Employees have reported that PIs in cars with Danish plates are following them around and photographing them. Pirate Bay is a search site, which allows users to search for and download illegal music, movies and programs. Prince recently spoke out against such sites, which is one reason why Pirate Bay thinks that he is behind the mysterious investigators.

    Fake “PIs” Are Actually Scammers Passing on Malware

    SOUTHBOROUGH, MA - Malware is now being spread by scammers claiming to be PIs. The discovery was made by the Israeli security company Commtouch. Commtouch discovered that e-mails are being sent to recipients telling them that a PI has been recording their telephone calls. The fake emails have an attached file that the email alleges is an audio file of one of the recorded phone calls. If recipients open the alleged recording, their computer becomes infected.

    Boeing Investigates Employees

    SEATTLE, WA - The Boeing Company collects proprietary information about its employees, and staffs entire teams that gather and protect such information. The surveillance has upset employees. Under Washington's stalking law, licensed private investigators "acting within the capacity of his or her license" are allowed to repeatedly follow a person. Boeing's internal investigators are exempt under state law from having to obtain a private investigator license, but contracted investigators must hold licenses.
