PI Reveals DNA Not Fox's |
CHICAGO, IL – PInow.com premium advertiser Steven Kirby testified that DNA found on the body of Riley Fox, a three-year-old who was murdered, did not match the DNA of her father. Her father was charged in connection with the murder. Fox was arrested in October 2004 after what he alleges was coercion from Will County sheriff's detectives. Fox and his wife are now suing a number of authorities for false arrest and imprisonment. |

Fortune 500 Companies Hire PI |
COLUMBUS, OH - Vincent Volpi is a PI for Fortune 500 companies such as Coca-Cola, Gap and others. These companies hire Volpi to track counterfeiters and murder-for-hire cases that jeopardize supply chains and entire brands. Volpi runs Columbus-based PICA. The popular PI told CNNMoney this past week that he likes to unwind by enjoying his garden and view from his home. |

Sales Clerk Turned Private Detective Passes |
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL - Jeanne B. Thorsen passed away this past week. Thorsen turned a part-time job as a sales clerk at a clothing store into a career as a PI. Thorsen would capture people stealing clothes. Her talent quickly translated into a job in security. In 1970, Thorsen was one of the first women licensed by the state of Illinois as a PI. She opened her own PI firm. |

Ireland’s Home Buyers Hire PIs |
IRELAND - PIs in Ireland are being hired by home buyers. Home buyers are trying to find out about their future neighbors – to see whether their potential neighbors have criminal records or noisy late night habits. In many cases, PIs are being hired because home buyers do not want to resell at a lowered price. |

PIs Looking into Car Accident Involving Hulk Hogan’s Son |
TAMPA BAY, FL - Nick Bollea, son of former wrestling star Hulk Hogan, was involved in a car accident months ago that left passenger John Graziano permanently injured. Investigators are trying to determine whether speed was a factor in the crash. A surveillance video was captured by Jeff's Jeep Yard. The owner of the business said that when the surveillance tape was handed over, his staff was led to believe that they were giving it to law enforcement, when in fact they gave the tape to private investigators hired by Bollea’s defense team. |
