PI Contract Canceled for Iraq |
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The State Department originally hired eight PIs to help United States officials in Iraq. The PIs were hired to work at the United States Embassy in Baghdad to assist officials in complex investigations. The department has abruptly canceled that contract. Sen. Russell Feingold contacted Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, worried that security concerns were being outsourced. It is believed that as a result of that criticism the $4.4 million contract was canceled. |

On the Case as a Private Eye |
CLEVELAND, OH - PInow.com advertiser Demopoulos & Associates was featured in a column by reporter Chuck Yarborough who shadowed the investigators. Throughout this unique piece he highlights how time intensive activities like surveillance can be, and that the life of a PI is not always glamorous. Yarborough also notes that the investigators with Demopoulos & Associates are Certified Fraud Examiners, and rarely take on domestic cases. |

Can Becoming a PI Improve Life Quality? |
MILWAUKEE, WI - Scott Lange believes that becoming a PI improved the quality of his life. Lange worked with the homicide unit for the Milwaukee Police Department for 10 years before deciding that he needed a change. Long hours meant that Lange was not able to spend time with his family. He did enjoy the camaraderie and the investigative work, which is why he opened Classified Private Investigation in 2007. |
