PI Says Privacy is Old-Fashioned |
BROOKLYN, NY - Brooklyn PI Steven Rambam has been in the field for a quarter of a century and in a recent interview he revealed that privacy is a thing of the past. His company PallTech, keeps extensive databases on U.S. citizens. Fashion PIs Take Aim At Jean Counterfeiting |
LOS ANGELES, CA - LA-based Chris Johnson spends his days as a fashion PI, locating and buying counterfeit jeans so that jean manufacturers can sue. Statistics show that fashion PIs are needed in LA – close to $2 billion in counterfeit goods are sold each year in Los Angeles County alone. As designer denims have become more popular, so have counterfeit jeans, many made in China. |

LONDON, ENGLAND - The PIs investigating Madeleine McCann’s disappearance have become embroiled in fresh controversy after it was revealed that they claimed expenses almost amounting to £50,000 for one month. The United States PI firm Oakley International was hired on a £500,000, six-month contract early in 2008. The company was to review global CCTV footage, conduct investigations and man a hotline related to the case. Brian Kennedy, who has been financially helping the McCann family with their search, became concerned when the PI firm claimed £43,500 ($74,155) in expenses in the first month of their contract. The company was terminated from the investigation in August 2008, when Kennedy became concerned about the lack of progress made on the case. |
