PIs Needed to Crack Down on Resume Fraud?

PHOENIX, AZ - Employers considering hiring new workers might be interested by a recent CareerBuilder.com survey, which shows that 10 percent of applicants admit to lying on a resume. Arizona State University business professor Marianne Jennings finds that figure low. At the Arizona State University business school and other business schools, school applicants are charged an additional investigation fee. The report goes further to suggest that many have lost faith in the South African Police Services while even authorities are turning to PIs to crack big cases. Several PIs from the region are quoted in the piece saying that business is increasing and demand for PIs specializing in complex investigations is very high. PIs to Crack Down on Medical Attacks

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL - Last year, 1,000 incidents of physical and verbal violence against health care workers were reported in Israel, but only 14 attackers were charged. The country will now spend NIS 2.5 million to make medical practices safer. The Israel Medical Association has decided to hire a PI firm to look into complaints and to help victims of attacks gather evidence that can be used to prosecute attackers. The PI company will provide a 24-hour staffed number that medical staffers can call. A representative from the PI company will then visit victims of the crime and help them file a complaint.
