Director Admits to Lying in PI Case

HOLLYWOOD, CA – This week, director John McTiernan – known for his work on films such as “The Hunt for Red October,” “Die Hard,” and “Predator “ – pleaded guilty to lying about a PI. McTiernan has admitted to lying to FBI agents about hiring PI Anthony Pellican for $50,000 to wiretap the phone of producer Charles Roven. McTiernan now faces up to a $100, 000 fine and one year in prison.

Parents Raise Privacy Issues

SPARTANBURG, SC – A parent whose child attends Pine Street Elementary in Spartanburg District 7 voiced privacy concerns to a local media outlet recently after the school posted lists with student information on the front doors of the school building. Channel 7 contacted PI Ken Walter of Carolina Investigations, Inc. about the list and he agreed that it was a privacy issue and a risk.

Social Networking Continues Being a Boon to PIs

ORLANDO, FL – Attorneys and PIs have been noting for some time that in many cases, social networking sites such as Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, Photobucket and MySpace are being used as investigative tools in insurance fraud cases, divorce cases, child support cases as well as other investigations. In many cases, experts agree, photos tend to be the most damaging.
