PI Impersonates Federal Officer |
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - PI Andrew Paul Delio has been sentenced to 15 months in jail after pretending to be a federal officer. Delio sold communications equipment to police agencies and used fake credentials and a fake badge to make agencies believe he was a federal officer. The PI also used his phony badge and identity to access federal buildings and other restricted areas. |

PIs Uncover Bizarre Web of Lies |
CHANDLER, AZ - Police officer Bradley Allen resigned after a long investigation revealed that he may have invented an identity to stalk a former girlfriend. Allen claimed that a man named David Fowler was allegedly stalking his former girlfriend, Nicole Latone, sending her text messages. Latone alleged that Allen broke up with her after he claimed she cheated on him with a man named Fowler. Latone hired PIs, who found that Fowler did not exist. Police detectives investigating Allen's claims independently found that Allen himself was likely sending the "Fowler" texts to his former girlfriend. |

NBA Running Background Checks |
BUFFALO, NY - Every athlete drafted by the professional basketball league has a background check run to ensure that off-court activities and predilection will not become a problem or an embarrassment for the NBA. PIs are specifically looking for criminal records, substance abuse, discipline problems, and information about the sex lives, children, drinking, debts and other problems draft picks may be facing. The checks have become more important since 1986, when the NBA took on four players who eventually succumbed to drug-related problems. |

PIs Investigate Scientists |
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - The Australian federal government is seeking to hire PIs to crack down on scientists who violate the country's human anti-cloning laws. The new PIs will work for the Director of Public Prosecutions and will work with local authorities to find illegal embryonic stem cell research and illegal cloning. |
