Reports Suggest More Women PIs in the Industry |
DETROIT, MI – According to the Department of Labor, the PI industry is expected to grow 22% by 2018, and according to Detroit PIs, women PIs will make up a significant number of that total as more female PIs enter the business. Instructors at The Academy in Troy and Madonna University note that in some classes for PIs, up to 60% of the students are women. |

Evidence Not Enough for an Appeal in the Martha Moxley Case |
STAMFORD, CT – Michael Skakel, an extended member of the Kennedy family who was accused in the 1975 murder of his then-neighbor Martha Moxley, has sought – and been turned down for – an appeal. Skakel had new evidence suggesting that others were responsible for Moxley's death, but the court determined that the evidence was not strong enough to give Skakel a new trial. |

Man Seeks Compensation for Alleged Surveillance |
SANTA ANA, CA – Michael Lucchese is seeking $15 million in compensation from his county, alleging that he is under surveillance by cars, helicopters and aircraft. He has launched a $25 million claim against Huntington Beach for the same reason. Lucchese alleges that the surveillance amounts to harassment. He has hired PIs to gather evidence of the surveillance and notes that the instances of surveillance and harassment take place about 20 times each day. |

Fraud Investigations Up As Some Financially-Strapped Residents Turn to Arson |
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND – Fraud experts note that a shaky economy has some New Zealand residents committing arson in order to claim insurance money. Statistics show that in the past two years there have been 2768 arsons, a jump of 20%. The number of solved arson cases has dropped by 12% in the same time frame. PIs at Paragon Investigations agree that fraudulent insurance claims and arsons are on the rise as people get desperate for money. |
