ORLANDO, FL - Orlando attorneys, quoted in a recent Orlando Sentinel article, noted how important PIs are in the justice system. According to the attorneys interviewed, the thousands of PIs in Florida help the defense in cases where the prosecution is relying on information gathered by law enforcement authorities. PIs have access to information and technology that helps attorneys crack cases and gather evidence. |

PIs Being Hired by Adult Children To Check Out Dads |
CITY OF SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE - In Singapore, there is a trend among adult children to hire PIs to investigate their fathers. According to local PIs, children are worried about their fathers being unfaithful and potentially leaving inheritances to their new partners. In many cases, the children launch the investigations, and then help their mothers apply for divorce, using the evidence gathered by the PIs.

Online Dating Checks By Qualified PIs are Important |
PANAMA CITY, FL - Following a high-profile case involving Philip Markoff, a man who allegedly shot a woman he met online through Craigslist, PIs and other experts are warning that online dating can be dangerous. While online dating can help people meet, experts and PIs caution that these sites also invite predators and liars. PIs report that they are being asked to run background checks on people met online. Often, PIs are able to reveal an online date's real name as well as any possible criminal background. |

Council Approves New Security Measures |
NEOSHO, MO - The city council has decided to approve a measure that would identify and regulate PIs, security guards, and other security service providers within city limits. Under the new measure, authorities would be allowed to check to ensure that such professionals have the financial means, training and qualifications to conduct business in the city. The measure would require all guards, PIs and security personnel to have a license and identity cards. |
