PIs Help Break Up Dog Fighting Ring

MOUNT OLIVE, NC – PIs from the state of Georgia helped local authorities raid an alleged North Carolina dog fighting ring. About 35 dogs were rescued as a result of the raid, which was a collaboration between the PI firm Norred & Associates and the Duplin County Sheriff's Department.

Privacy Groups Want Crackdown on Marketing Surveillance

NEW YORK, NY - The Center for Digital Democracy, the World Privacy Forum, and U.S. PIRG (Public Interest Research Groups) – want the FTC to investigate ad networks. The privacy groups allege that these networks profile Americans and capture too much private data about Internet users from both online and offline sources.

PIs Uncover Fake Washing Powder Plot

LONDON, ENGLAND - Richard Brayford is accused of creating a plot to sell fake and essentially useless washing powder in Britain at inflated prices. Brayford allegedly purchased the powder and planned to sell it in fake Persil boxes. Persil is a popular washing powder brand in Britain. Unilever, who owns the Persil brand, received a tip about the alleged con operation and hired PIs to investigate.

PI Gets Prison Time

MERCER, OH – Former PI Clifford Aley is receiving additional prison time after already serving time for misleading police. Aley is currently in jail for giving police incorrect and misleading information about Sandra Kay Hill, a woman who went missing in 2000. Now, Aley has been given an additional 39 months in jail for weapons offenses. In 2006, his sentence was also extended after he made threats to jail guards.
