FDA Officials Trailed By PIs at Drug Company Request |
NEW YORK, NY – Pharmaceutical company Amphastar Pharmaceuticals allegedly paid PIs to trail two FDA officials, including the director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Janet Woodcock, and director of the Office of New Drug Quality Assessment, Moheb Nasr. At Amphastar's request, PIs trailed the FDA officials in 2008 over a period of two months, even following Woodcock to Thailand.

Potential PIs Get New Access to Criminal Justice Degree |
MUNCIE, IN – Ball State University and Ivy Tech Community College have reached an agreement to allow more students to pursue a Criminal Justice Bachelor’s degree. Under the agreement, any student who has been studying at any Ivy Tech Community College towards an Associate of Science degree is eligible to transfer up to 63 credit hours to Ball State for a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree. |

Hard Evidence Easier to Find in Divorce Investigations |
GREAT NECK, NY – Attorney Jacqueline Harounian has noticed an increase in the number of cheating spouses being discovered through their online activities, noting that many of the cases she sees seem to stem from the Long Island and the New York City areas. Harounian believes that social networking and other utilities have made it increasingly easy to disseminate information online and have made cheating easier to prove in court as well. |

Should PI Exclusions Extend to Police? |
BATON ROUGE, LA – An old debate has arisen again for the Louisiana State Board of Private Investigator Examiners. The board has previously discussed the ethics of allowing law enforcement officers to become licensed PIs in the state. Some police departments, notably Baton Rouge and Shreveport, have police department policies which prevent active police officers from becoming PIs due to possible conflict of interest. |
