PIs to Look at Police Actions

SAN DIEGO, CA - The city manager for La Mesa has hired a PI to investigate whether police officers were correct in giving Mayor Art Madrid and a city employee a ride when both men were allegedly intoxicated. On February 20, police responded to a 911 call and found Madrid lying on a sidewalk beside a vehicle. The woman behind the wheel of the vehicle was city employee Trisha Turner. The vehicle was running and police believed that the pair were intoxicated. They drove Turner and Madrid to Madrid’s home, but did not call their police supervisor for approval. Some are alleging special treatment, which is why the city manager has hired a PI to look into the case.
