PI Trends Today |
CAPE COD, MA - Jimmie Mesis, editor-in-chief of PI Magazine, reports that a PI industry trend is government agencies hiring PI services. Municipal governments over the past few years have been turning to PI services in greater numbers for background checks, pre-employment screening and residency verifications. Colleges and schools have been hiring PIs to confirm that students live where they claim to live. Mesis notes that other trends have to do with technology rather than with jobs. PIs, for example, are using laptops and research skills rather than door-to-door research. Women in the field also are becoming a force to be reckoned with. |

Hawkes also notes that women have become more practical and are seeking solutions rather than refusing to look at unpleasant possibilities – such as a spouse who may be unfaithful. |
