PIs Claim Cheating Spouses are More Likely to Stay Faithful Due to Economic Woes

BOSTON, MA - Some Massachusetts PIs are claiming that an economic crisis may reduce rates of infidelity. The executive director of the Licensed Private Detectives Association of Massachusetts, Phil White, recently told reporters that would-be cheaters simply have less money to cheat with when the economy is bad. Also, some workers travel less during difficult economic times as expense accounts are reduced and therefore opportunities to cheat are slashed. During times like these, fewer people are willing to contemplate the costs of a divorce.

So far, no arrests have been made, although legal action may still be taken against some of the vendors. Scarborough notes that economic woes may make buyers more likely to purchase counterfeit products, creating a greater market for fake goods.
