PI Uncovers Death Involving a PlayStation |
MIRAMAR, FL - James Felton-Maitland, 17, was attacked by two teens near a library. The teens wanted to steal his Sony PlayStation Portable. Goa and Brown beat Felton-Maitland, who ran into traffic to escape his attackers and was hit by a truck. Initially, the Florida Highway Patrol told Felton-Maitland’s family that the incident was an accident. A PI was able to find information about what really happened and helped the Miami-Dade homicide unit find Brown and Goa. |

PI Volunteers on the Jaliek Rainwalker Case |
ALBANY, NY - Jamie Richardson is one of the PIs who has volunteered his time for the Jaliek Rainwalker case. Richardson’s group, "Mission Possible Investigation" has set up a hotline, for anyone who may have information about the case. Twelve-year-old Rainwalker has been missing since November 1, 2007. Richardson has said that odd circumstances merit PI involvement in this case. Jaliek left a farewell note before his disappearance. Also, an unsigned letter recently arrived at News Channel 13 stating that Jaliek is still alive. |

Suspicious Spouses Use Spyware |
NEW ZEALAND - Traditionally, spyware was used by hackers and identity thieves online. Now, experts say that spouses are using it to track Internet activity when they suspect their partners of cheating. Spyware is installed on a computer, but usually is not visible. Only the person who installs the program is aware that the software is there. The program monitors each computer user’s activity and gathers personal information. In addition to suspicious spouses, parents are using the programs to keep tabs on children’s Internet activities. |

PI Pellicano Faces More Legal Woes |
LOS ANGELES, CA - PI Anthony Pellicano, already facing charges of illegal wiretapping is now being used by James and Janice Skrzypek, a former Cook County police officer and his wife who in 2002 were convicted of defrauding the government. The Skrzypeks were convicted of submitting billings for security work that was never performed at the Robert Taylor Homes in Chicago. Now, the pair are suing Pellicano, alleging that he and others falsified tapes that sent the Skrzypeks to jail. |
