    Tiger Attack Investigation

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Carlos Sousa, who was killed in a tiger attack at the San Francisco Zoo, was buried this week. The Dhaliwal brothers, who were present during the tiger attack, have reportedly apologized to Carlos Sousa’s mother for the incident. The Dhaliwal brothers attended Sousa's funeral with a PI hired by their attorney. The PI was there to ensure that they remained silent about the case and were afforded privacy. There is an investigation underway to determine whether the men were taunting the tiger and whether the zoo failed to heed warnings about unsafe conditions.

    Teen Making Internet Threats

LEE COUNTY, FL - A PI firm in California was looking into the case of a missing girl, but the firm got more than they bargained for when the investigation revealed that Joseph D. Carrozza was making threats online. Even though the case was unrelated to the investigation, the PI firm acted on the crime they saw occurring, and 16-year-old Carrozza was charged with cyberstalking. The teen was using MySpace to make threats and intimidate victims.

    US Laws Under Scrutiny

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – United States laws are slowly creating a system in which computer forensics work can only be performed by individuals with private investigator licenses. Legislation which has been introduced in South Carolina, for example, would allow only businesses involved in serving legal process or conducting spousal investigations to conduct computer forensics cases. Any computer evidence gathered by anyone else would not be admissible in civil or criminal cases. Many other states already have similar laws.
