How To Catch A Cheating Spouse With A Hidden Camera

posted by PInow.com Staff | February 20th, 2007

For a married individual, there is nothing worse than experiencing the feeling that eats away at you when you suspect that your better half is turning to another for attention.

Whether you see the common signs, find clues or want to relieve the paranoia, there are ways to get to the bottom of this lingering mistrust without letting your partner know your intentions. One of the best and most discreet approaches to this matter is to enlist the help of a wireless camera. Catching a cheating spouse has never been easier.

Throughout the years, hidden cameras have caught countless cheating wives and husbands. Many users enjoy the freedom of being the only ones to catch their spouses in the act, eliminating the usual hiring of a private investigator. Hidden cameras are safe and do not entail a stranger following your loved one wherever he or she goes. They are also very easy to use and are only detected when your significant other uses a hidden camera detector, which is highly unlikely.

Using GPS to track those cheatin’ hearts

posted by PInow.com Staff | February 20th, 2007

GPS Tracking Devices

Companies that sell global tracking devices say their sales have skyrocketed, and you might be surprised why.

“A huge portion of our customer base is becoming husbands and wives,” said Todd Morris, president of BrickHouse Security in Manhattan.

The most recent high-profile case involved Nets star Jason Kidd, whose wife, Joumana, reportedly planted electronic monitors on his vehicles. But the falling price and shrinking size of Global Positioning Systems have people from all walks of life keeping track of their “better” halves.

“It used to be just professional law enforcement,” said Morris. “But [GPS trackers] that used to be $1,000 or $3,000 two years ago are now under $500.”

Dumont private eye Thomas Phelan owns a TrimTrac device that’s no heavier than a few decks of playing cards. It’s black and nondescript, about the size of a purse, and fits into a carrying case equipped with high-powered magnets.

Private eyes see big business in catching cheaters on Valentine’s Day

posted by PInow.com Staff | February 20th, 2007

Valentine’s Day: a sweet time for florists, chocolate makers, card sellers, restaurateurs — and private investigators.

On a day when romance is on the minds of many, some are filled with suspicion: Are their love interests of interest to anyone else?

Exposing trysts is good business for private investigators, especially around Valentine’s Day, when, marital experts say, infidelity and extramarital affairs reach a crescendo.

Time for the ‘Super Bowl of Surveillance’

posted by PInow.com Staff | February 16th, 2007

Private eyes tell the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Valentine’s Day is their “Super Bowl of Surveillance.” Out west, they tell the San Diego Union-Tribune it’s the “Festival of Lies.” Whatever they call it, this week is a bonanza for business.

“It’s the one day of the year when a man who’s having an affair is expected to do something romantic for both his wife and his girlfriend,” the Journal-Constitution reports today. “So, like flower shops and restaurants, jewelry stores and greeting card companies, sleuths such as [private investigator Jeanene Weiner] will be busy Wednesday, trying to catch the juggling acts on tape.”

Weiner walks the paper through her Valentine’s Day rituals, including starting the day early to catch breakfast rendezvous and women’s tendencies to schedule their holiday cheating on days nears the 14th, but not on the holiday itself. She also shows off a camera hidden inside a book.

Two-timing valentines give private eyes a field day

posted by PInow.com Staff | February 14th, 2007

Every Valentine’s Day, Jeanene Weiner, a mother of two, hops into her Mercedes and goes trolling for married men who don’t mind cheating on their wives.

She sits across from them at restaurants or coffee shops and eyes them carefully — recording their every move with a camera hidden in her coat button or tucked into the spine of a hardcover.

Weiner, 44, is a private investigator. And those in her profession say there’s no better day to dig up dirt on philandering spouses than Valentine’s Day.

It’s the one day of the year when a man who’s having an affair is expected to do something romantic for both his wife and his girlfriend.

So, like flower shops and restaurants, jewelry stores and greeting card companies, sleuths such as Weiner will be busy Wednesday, trying to catch the juggling acts on tape.

There are about 60,000 private investigators in the United States, including more than 1,500 licensed in Georgia. While they handle varied cases, including child custody battles and background checks, investigators say more than half their business comes from suspicious spouses who want their significant others tailed.

Valentine’s Day keeps private investivators busy

posted by PInow.com Staff | February 14th, 2007

Flowers, candy, card may seem innocent, but they know better

It was Bill Posey’s first year as a private investigator, and he was pointing his video camera at a man and a woman lying in bed.

At 3 a.m., Posey was standing in the doorway of a house he didn’t own, watching the couple sleep. They were married, but not to one another.

For what seemed like an eternity, Posey aimed his video camera at the bed, struggling for a clear shot of the man’s face. Finally, the man rolled onto his elbow, then his back.

At that moment, Posey’s video camera captured the biggest prize among detectives: the money shot.

“I knew I had his face,” Posey said.

Valentine’s Day heightens threat of infidelity. Learn the signs of love gone bad

Valentine’s Day. Doesn’t the very mention of it warm your heart with visions of champagne, roaring fires and sweet sentiments?

Not when your loved one’s sweet on somebody else.

The association between Valentine’s Day and love makes the holiday a peak time for infidelity, said Ruth Houston, author of Is He Cheating on You? — 829 Telltale Signs and operator of the Web site www.InfidelityAdvice.com. And that makes it an ideal time to catch a cheating mate, she said.

I’ve only got (private) eyes for you

Cheating / Infidelity

With a bit of detective work, a case of a cheating heart can be cracked on Feb. 14

The wife had a feeling her husband was up to no good. On Valentine’s Day, she hired James Gonzalez, private investigator, to follow him.

Gonzalez trailed the husband from his real estate office to his first appointment – lunch with a woman, which might have been innocuous had he not tenderly given her a box containing jewelry. From there, the man headed for a second appointment – another meal, another woman, another gift.
