EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND – Two PIs who helped recover the stolen Da Vinci painting “The Madonna of the Yarnwinder” hired attorney Marshall Ronald to help them collect the reward for the safe return of the painting. Ronald is now on trial, accused of trying to extort additional money for the case. Ronald allegedly tried to negotiate $2 million for himself in legal fees and hoped to keep the extra cash hidden from his PI clients. He was uncovered in his alleged scheme by an undercover officer.
