The Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI), along with the Florida Association of Security Companies (FASCO) and the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI) is sponsoring one of the largest educational conferences for investigators and security professionals anywhere in the southeast!
This year’s conference, scheduled for May 21-24, 2009 at the Renaissance Orlando, Florida Airport Hotel, is anticipated to be full of quality speakers and colorful fun. With all of our eyes, ears (and wallets) focused on the current economy, FALI has secured hotel rooms for the low rate of $99 per night. Make sure you enter the group code “falfala” or mention FALI when registering by telephone. There are a limited number of rooms available at this rate, so be sure and register now!
Interested in a free nights stay? By bringing and signing a paid vendor/exhibitor to the conference, you could receive a free nights stay. There are dozens of potential vendors/exhibitors in your area that has a product or service marketable to investigators and security professionals alike. Take a look around, and by signing a vendor, it could earn you a free nights stay! Vendor/exhibitor packets are available at www.fali.com or by contacting Steve Craig at 407-278-4554. This year’s theme centers on the concept of “your business is our business…” Each of us rely on a number of products, services and sources of expertise to succeed, and those business relationships are often the key to success.
Have an idea for a speaker/presenter? Each year, the conference committee receives dozens of comments and suggestions, both good and bad. One of the primary concerns of attendees is the slate of speakers and educational topics. If there is a speaker, topic or area of our industry that you would like to see presented, speak up! Your input does matter. Remember, this is “your” conference and your comments and suggestions are invaluable as we continue the planning process. This year’s conference promises to be unique with the involvement of FASCO and our NALI brethren. Currently, our educational tracks are being developed to provide educational opportunities for both investigators and security professionals. This is an excellent cross-training opportunity for each side of our industries.
Interested in volunteering? There are a number of tasks, small and large, that must be attended to. Contact Steve at 407-278-4554, if you are interested in helping out Again, this is your conference, and your involvement ensures it will be that much more of a success. We are in need of volunteers to assist with registration, agencies/companies interested in providing door prizes, sponsors for breaks and social events, assistance with publication, advertising and publicity, and several other areas. Contact Steve Craig for more information. We are still desperately in need of an individual or individuals interested in planning and conducting a pistol shoot competition and golf tournament.
DON’T LET IT SNEAK UP ON YOU! May is right around the corner so plan now to attend the FALI 2009 Annual Conference. Contact Steve Craig at (407) 278-4554 with any questions, ideas or suggestions.
