This section will be dedicated to providing members with specific investigative techniques for specialized AOE/COE Investigations, including “Continuous Trauma.” The instructors will share their experiences in this specialized field; provide information on how you can develop this area of investigation to generate more income for your business. Instruction will also be provided on the methods used to prepare and organize AOE/COE reports and tools used to present your reports in professional manner.
The Criminal Investigation section of our program will be focused on investigative techniques, including information you will need to prepare homicide cases for trial. Learn the methods used by experienced investigators who have been involved in hundreds of murder cases as defense investigators. You will also be given the details and techniques to prepare your case homicide case for trial including, exhibits, diagrams, testimony, in court assistance, and preparation of witnesses. This program will arm you with tools necessary to not only help your client succeed at trial, it will help you generate additional income by expanding your services.
Networking Luncheon

Join your peers at the Networking Luncheon where attendees can meet, greet, share information, and establish business contacts. Francie Koehler, CALI Legislative Committee Chair, will make a brief presentation on current legislative efforts of CALI and also discuss SB 1282, private investigators continuing education bill.

The final section of the criminal defense program will be dedicated to Post Conviction Jury interviews. One of the most over looked areas of criminal defense investigation is what happens after the verdict. Sheila Klopper, CPI will provide specific instructions on this highly specialized skill. Interviewing jurors after they have convicted your client takes careful planning and a delicate hand. New laws protecting juror confidentiality and the methods used to obtain statements will also be explained and discussed. Learn the latest techniques for securing affidavits and declarations that can make the difference when seeking a new trial. How do you identify jury misconduct?
