HDI is a bonded and fully insured full service investigation firm headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina with offices in North Carolina, New Jersey and New York.
 
HDI was founded by President & CEO Charles Williams soon after he retired in 2006 from 23 years of meritorious service as a FBI Special Agent.  Charles received numerous awards from the FBI for exemplary service and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field of private investigation and executive protection.  As a special agent he worked extensively in the areas of violent crimes, national security, background investigation and surveillance.  Charles has used his knowledge and experience to assemble and train an outstanding team of investigators and support staff that is currently conducting investigations across three states.
 
HDI specializes in worker's compensation and malpractice cases as well as in criminal defense, surveillance, locating and interviewing witnesses and finding people.  We are also very much involved in the business of process serving, investigating domestic issues, executive protection and other types of investigative services.  Due to the fact that our agents and investigators are trained professionals many with years of FBI, SWAT or POLICE training and are operating under a format similar to the FBI we are able to successfully conduct a wide range of investigative matters.
